customer service degree
I live in a small town in Florida. This may not sound like an introduction to gambling, I mean I’m quite a bit away from Vegas. However, just west of Florida is a state that is almost as famous in the south as Nevada for gambling. Which state? Mississippi, home of Biloxi. There are numerous casinos there and they bring in, I dare to say, most of the money the state sees from tourists. While most people who go to college probably don’t think about working in a casino, it is a great opportunity for those who have a hospitality management degree or for those who have a customer service degree. Both serve managers and organizers of casinos well.
In regards to customer service they have entire levels devoted to making customers happy at every casino. After all an unhappy gambler is a gambler that is going to the more hospitable casino. Hospitality has big bucks meaning in the casino industry and keeping guests happy is truly an art form. I’ve been very impressed by the management staff as well as the customer service specialist the few times I have visited the various casinos and am in awe of how they keep that many people happy and playing. Did you use your hospitality management degree or customer service degree to find employment in the casino industry?
