Pharmacy Tech Programs

I was never much of a science person, at least not physical science so the science programs offered at my college didn’t really interest me. I was surprised, however, to find just how many science programs were available. One category that especially amazed me was the pharmacy tech programs. I suppose I had never realized that there was more to the pharmacy than the pharmacist, but obviously that isn’t true. There are all sorts of people that make a pharmacy run smoothly, just as there are support positions in every career field. Maybe support position isn’t the right phrase to describe what a pharmacy technician does. They can do practically anything the pharmacists asks them to do. Some states require certification and training while others do not, however, the likelihood of landing a job in a prestigious pharmacy increases with training and experience making pharmacy tech programs quite appealing. A great blog, that is update sporadically, is the Angry Pharmacist. Fortunately for all of the fans of the blog it is supposed to be updated more regularly this year. It’s a good place to start if you want to get a non sugarcoated view of the pharmaceutical world. Is it an environment in which you think you could thrive? Let me know!
