An Associate of Arts (AA) Degree in Finance offers recipients excellent work opportunities and sets the foundation if they wish to purse an Accounting Degree at a later date. An AA Degree in Finance allows people to more easily find entry level jobs in the world of finance. Positions such as bank teller, accounts receivable, payroll clerk, and debt collections agents all require some basic understanding in finance, or experience in the field, which an AA Degree in Finance would be able to supply.

After earning their AA Degree in Finance, students may find they enjoy the topic so much they wish to continue their education further. One option for continuing education is an Accounting Degree. With an Accounting Degree, it is possible to obtain a larger variety of positions in the world of finance, many of which pay significantly more than the entry level positions available with an AA Degree in Finance. Accountants may open their own firm, work for a small or large accounting firm, or become the accountant for an individual company among other options.
