Nursing Programs
Right after I finished high school, a friend of mine who had graduated several years before me was struggling to make ends meet. She’d worked as a receptionist and a few other low paying jobs and was becoming very depressed about her future opportunities. Then she went to a job fair and began talking to some registered nurses who worked for a traveling company. These ladies were basically assigned to a hospital that was understaffed in various regions of the country for between three months and a year at a time. While they were there they were given a place to live in addition to their fantastic salary. She decided this was something she was interested in and immediately enrolled in a registered nursing program. She put her life on hold and worked part time while she completed the nursing program requirements.
When she finished she registered with the company and began her new life. She has now traveled around the country, makes more money than she thought possible, and has found the love of her life. All of this because of the nursing program she decided to take a chance on. Not all, or even many, registered nurses will take this path because it lacks the stability so many crave. However, it is only one of the many opportunities given to those who complete the various nursing programs.
Does becoming a traveling nurse sound like fun to you?
