If you really love fashion and thrive on the new colors, styles, and textures that are rolled out every season, then a fashion degree is definitely something to consider. Is your wardrobe the envy of all of your friends? Did you design a gown that wowed everyone who saw it? What life experiences make you think a career in fashion is in your future?

Some people just love fashion. They love to make, buy, combine, and wear the latest styles. A few very talented individuals excel in the creativity department and are able to create designs that are envy worthy when they are still teenagers while others are exceptionally adept at combining designs to create new looks that everyone wants to copy. If either of these sounds like you, then a fashion design degree or a fashion merchandising degree may be the perfect match for you. A fashion design degree teaches one how to design on a larger scale and the finer points of the industry. A fashion merchandising degree is perfect for someone who spots trends early or someone who likes to pave the road for altogether new trends. Learning what marketing techniques work is as valuable as designing the clothing in the first place.
